Why do people still use XP?

My problem with Windows XP (and support thereof) is that it's a ten-year-old piece of software!
And it comes with IE6 as the default browser. Paah!

While I think http://html5forxp.com/ is a nice idea, I strongly believe that people using IE6 on dear old Win XP don't care about fancy webapps.

The reasoning I hear most often as to why IE6 still holds market share is that there are a lot of people at work that need to use IE6 for legacy resons. Well, if they're at work, why should we cater our super-cool new webapp to them, eh? They should be working! And if they're into casual browsing on their lunch break, they can use a normal browser to visit the cool sites.

I'm not saying Leave those bastards in the dark. I'm merely suggesting we give them a streamlined, dumbed down version of the site/app. A version that requires way less work than making sure your site runs the same in all browsers, including freaking Netscape 4.
